Bubble Tea Bobarista / Karaoke Host

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing part time member of staff to join our team at Bubblescape in the centre of Witham. This varied role involves crafting delicious and refreshing bubble tea, making Acai bowls and coffee based beverages, serving alcohol, checking in and attending to guests in our private karaoke room.

This is a part time position with these possible shifts available:

  • Thursdays: 2.30pm - 8.30pm
  • Fridays: 2.30pm - 8.30pm
  • Saturdays 4.00pm - 10.00pm
  • Sundays 2.00am - 6.30pm

There is an option of increasing hours when covering sickness or holiday and during the summer period.

This role will require lone working and serving alcohol without supervision so you will need to be confident on your own, and of an age where this would be legal.

Roles start at 6 regular hours with additional non contractual shifts available, however more contractual hours may be available depending on your availability and team shift scheduling.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a range of bubble tea or coffee beverages and making acai bowls consistently and accurately following base recipes based on each customer's individual choices.

- Greet and check in guests to our Karaoke room and provide basic instructions.

- Check ID in line with the Challenge 25 scheme.

- Create and serve cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

- Adhere to food hygiene safety standards and regulations.

- Keep all areas of the business clean especially areas designated as food preparation areas, have a good eye for anything that needs attention.

- Take customer orders accurately and provide excellent customer service.

- Ability to work individually and keep a cool head under pressure when order start backing up in a fast pace environment.

- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system.

- Operate boba-making equipment efficiently working around another staff member.

- Available to work hours that will include evenings, weekends and holidays

- Reliable, methodical and conscientious

Experience:
- Previous experience in bar service is useful.

- Previous food safety experience and certifications would be advantageous.

- Experience cleaning to a high standard with an eye for detail a must.

- Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm and focused on the task in hand when customers are waiting.
