Online competition Math AMC 8 teacher
GLA is looking for an experienced AMC 8 Math Teacher to teach a small-group online class for middle school students.
Requirements:
- Strong background in AMC 8 and competition math
- Prior math competition experience as a participant, coach, or instructor
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong understanding of AMC 8 problem-solving strategies and techniques
- Able to explain challenging concepts clearly and help students develop multiple approaches to solving problems
- Engaging, patient, and comfortable teaching students online
Position:
- Online / Remote
- Small-group classes
- Part-time, approximately 1.5–2 hours per week
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Opportunity to teach additional math competition classes in the future
We are looking for someone who can do more than teach students how to get the correct answer. The ideal teacher will help students develop mathematical thinking, recognize patterns, build problem-solving strategies, and become confident competition problem solvers.
