Surgical Technician II

Role Overview: This position supports surgical teams by performing specialized technical duties in operating or procedural environments.
Under supervision, responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, ensuring the proper functioning of instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting with specimen handling.
Key duties involve equipment preparation, aseptic techniques, inventory management, procedural assistance, and compliance with safety standards.
The role requires working independently, participating in meetings and training, and adhering to infection control policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe, efficient surgical environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Experience preferred; at least one year as a Surgical Technician is advantageous.
• Certifications: Surgical Technician Certification by a recognized board, Basic Life Support (BLS), and other relevant licenses.
  Must obtain BLS within 90 days of start date.
